Terms of Use
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These terms govern your use of Fluent. By creating an account or using Fluent, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Plain-language draft for friends testing; have a lawyer review before full public launch.
The short version
Fluent is a free-to-start educational practice site. Some advanced lessons or features may require a paid plan later. Trades use practice money and live market prices for learning. No real money moves through Fluent. Nothing on Fluent is financial advice.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 to use Fluent. If you are 13 to 17, you may use Fluent only with a parent or guardian's permission, and that parent or guardian agrees to these Terms for you. Fluent is not directed at children under 13. You must not use Fluent if the law where you live forbids it. If you use Fluent for a company or team, you confirm you may accept these terms for them.
What Fluent is
Fluent lets you practice Bitcoin trading and learn through guided lessons. Practice balances, trades, and wallets are simulated. You cannot deposit, withdraw, or buy or sell real Bitcoin on Fluent.
Fluent never asks for a real seed phrase or private key. Wallet practice uses fake demo values only. Do not enter a real backup into the site.
What Fluent is not
Fluent is not a broker, exchange, custodian, bank, or investment adviser. Nothing on the site is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You alone decide whether to buy, sell, or hold Bitcoin elsewhere.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account and for keeping sign-in details safe. Do not share your account. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms, abuse the service, or put other users or the site at risk.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse Fluent. For example, do not try to break or overload the site, scrape it in a way that harms the service, reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows, use it to scam anyone, or upload malware. Do not pretend Fluent involves real funds.
Intellectual property
Fluent’s name, design, lessons, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may use Fluent for personal learning as the product allows. You may not copy the course or product to run a competing service without our permission.
Third-party services
Sign-in, hosting, data storage, analytics, and market prices rely on third parties (including Clerk, Supabase, Vercel, PostHog, and CoinMarketCap). Their terms and privacy policies also apply to their services.
Disclaimers
Fluent is provided “as is.” We work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, perfect price data, or that practice on Fluent will match any real exchange. Market prices can be delayed or unavailable.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Fluent and its operators are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect damages from using or being unable to use the site, or from decisions you make about Bitcoin outside Fluent. Our total liability for any claim about Fluent is limited to what you paid us for Fluent in the three months before the claim (which may be $0 if you only used the free tier).
Indemnity
If your misuse of Fluent or your breach of these terms causes a claim against us, you agree to cover reasonable costs we face from that claim, to the extent the law allows.
Changes
We may update Fluent and these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. For meaningful changes we will try to give notice on the site or by email when we can.
