Who we are

Fluent (“we,” “us”) operates the Fluent website and app. Contact us at fluentbtc@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account info. When you sign up with email, Google, Apple, or Coinbase, Clerk (our sign-in provider) receives your name and email (and related sign-in details those providers share). We use that to create and run your Fluent account.

App data. We store your practice portfolio, simulated trades, simulated wallets, Learn progress, and related account settings in Supabase (our database).

Waitlist and updates. If you join a waitlist or ask for updates, we store the email you give us so we can contact you about Fluent.

Usage data. PostHog (analytics) receives page views, clicks, and where people tap or scroll on a page, so we can see what people use and fix problems. We don't record what you type into fields, and we don't sell this data.

Technical data. Vercel (hosting) and our systems may process standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and request timing needed to run and secure the site.

Market prices. CoinMarketCap provides Bitcoin price and related market data through our servers. That feed is market data, not your personal information.

What we do not collect

• We do not take deposits, withdrawals, or real Bitcoin purchases.
• We do not store card numbers or full payment details on Fluent. If you later buy a paid plan, payment will be handled by our payment provider (planned: Stripe via Clerk Billing). We receive billing status, such as whether your plan is active, not your full card number.
• We do not ask for, and we do not store, real seed phrases or private keys. Any wallet practice on Fluent uses fake demo values only. Never paste a real backup into Fluent.

How we use information

We use this information to run your account, save your practice and lesson progress, send updates you asked for, keep the site secure, measure product use, and improve Fluent.

Who we share with

We share data with service providers that help us run Fluent, only as needed for that job:

• Clerk — sign-in and account identity
• Supabase — app database
• Vercel — hosting and delivery of the site
• PostHog — product analytics
• CoinMarketCap — Bitcoin market price data (not your personal profile)

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and similar tools

We use cookies or similar tools needed for sign-in and for analytics (including PostHog). You can control cookies in your browser; blocking some may break sign-in or features.

How long we keep data

We keep account and app data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data we control within a reasonable time, except where we must keep something for security, abuse prevention, or law.

Kids

Fluent is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn a user under 13 created an account, we will delete it. If you think a child gave us data, email fluentbtc@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Users aged 13 to 17 may use Fluent only with a parent or guardian's permission.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

• access or correct account information we hold about you
• delete your account and related personal data
• stop update emails (unsubscribe or email us)

Email fluentbtc@gmail.com with “Privacy” or “Delete my account” in the subject. We may need to verify you own the account before we act.

Waitlist and product-update emails will include a way to unsubscribe, and we will honor requests promptly.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date above, and for meaningful changes we will try to give extra notice on the site or by email when we can.
